- Eastside’s annual fundraising gala, April Foolery, returns to London’s West End. The star line-up includes comedian, presenter, actor, writer, impressionist and voice-over artist Hugh Dennis; comedy stunt expert Simon Brodkin; poet, educator and spoken word theatre creator Justin Coe; comedian, author, satirical songwriter, musician and actor Mitch Benn, best known as the resident comic songwriter on BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show; Radio 4 regular and host of BBC 2’s Quiz Show Lightening and Live at the Apollo, Zoe Lyons; comedy siren, crowd enchantress & heckler annihilator Cecily Hitchcock; stand-up comedian, writer, professional poker player and finalist of the 2015 BBC New Comedy Award Ken Cheng; one of the fastest rising names in British comedy Ola Labib and Kae Kurd whose debut stand-up special Kurd Your Enthusiasm received over 200K views on YouTube.
